As Ballet Rogue prepares for its next season, we look back at our first two productions: Bloom Ballet Gala (Adelaide Fringe 2025) and Beyond Ballet Gala (Adelaide Fringe 2026).

Bloom Ballet Gala

Bloom Ballet Gala was our debut performance, created around local artists, collaboration and the support of the community. From the beginning, Ballet Rogue aimed to build a platform where independent artists could come together, share their work and create a stage outside the usual structures.

With the support of dancers, collaborators, audiences and local partners, Bloom became more than a first performance. It marked the beginning of Ballet Rogue as a collective, and the season sold out.

Beyond Ballet Gala

Following Bloom, Beyond Ballet Gala was created with the aim of expanding what Ballet Rogue could be. The season built on the foundation of our debut while moving into a larger scale, including a regional performance and broader public engagement.

Beyond also brought Ballet Rogue into new conversations through interviews and media appearances, drawing attention to Ballet Rogue as neither a traditional ballet company nor a dance school, but an innovative space for classically trained artists.

What these seasons built

Bloom and Beyond shaped the foundation of Ballet Rogue: artist-led, collaborative, community-supported and committed to creating serious performance opportunities outside the mainstream pathway.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these first two seasons possible. We look forward to carrying this work into our next season.
