A restaging of The Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadère, shaped through Japanese spiritual aesthetics. Votive imagines an afterlife for dancers who devoted themselves to dance, where discipline, memory and ritual continue beyond the body.

Adapted from the Walpurgis Night scene in Gounod's Faust, this ballet conjures a world of Bacchus, Bacchantes and Nymphs in wild revelry. Drawing on Lavrovsky's theatrical classical style, the work brings mythic abandon to the stage through formal ballet vocabulary.
